Tyres > Nokian |

Nokian Tyres, based in Finland, is the largest tyre manufacturer in the Nordic Tyres region. For over a hundred years, Nokian Tyres and its predecessors have operated in a harsh, northern environment. This gives the company a natural understanding of the demands that are placed on tyres in these conditions: the tyres have to be durable and reliable in rain, slush and snow, in extreme temperatures and on rough roads.
As the northernmost tyre manufacturer in the world and the largest one in the Nordic countries, Nokian Tyres develops designs and markets tyres that are especially geared to withstand harsh conditions.

Product Features:
DSI - Driving Safety Indicators
Driving Safety Indicators developed by Nokian Tyres are unique in the world. The purpose of DSI is to enhance driving safety. The DSI uses number block ranges from 2 to 8, in the center of the tread area. This function helps to indicate the remaining tread area in millimeters, which helps owners to increase the awareness of safety of their tyres.
Info Pin Nokian had developed a unique Info Pin on the sidewall to inform driver of general road conditions base on outside temperature. When the Info Pin is dark, it is a reminder the road ahead can be slippery. Use the arrow of the Info Pin to show the position of the tyre on the car. The correct position is useful when rotating tyres after certain mileage.
Asymmetrical Design
The appearance of Nokian Tyres is out of the ordinary. The tread patterns of the tyre"s inner and outer rims are different; the left and right tyres mirror each other. Asymmetrical tyres expel water effectively from under the tyre and the firm tread pattern of the outer rim stabilizes driving during high speed. This provides a positive on-centre feel, and enhances Centre Driving.
